In Galatians 6:17, Paul closes his most emotional letter by writing: “I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.”
Paul bore physical scars as a result of suffering for Christ, but here he is speaking of something deeper:
“I have been crucified with Christ; nevertheless, I live, yet not I, but Christ lives in me.  And, the life I now live I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself up for me (Galatians 2:20).”
Authentic faith involves dying to the self who would be god and living to Christ who is Lord.  This act of radical surrender produces over time certain identifying characteristics.
What are the marks of an authentic Christ-follower?
